while working at ola i made a lot of good friends, and still manage to see some familiar faces when i am out and about. case in point, when my friend jess and i went to haleiwa joe's for lunch the other day, we saw a former ola cook, justin (justin bobby to those in the know) who now works at joe's, on his way into the kitchen.
well you can imagine my surprise when my fish sandwich came out, and was adorned with the exact accouterments i used to request on my north shore burgers at ola-grilled onions and a side of plum sauce. it's been over a year since i left ola, and justin bobby quit several months before i did, so i couldn't believe he remembered that.
my hat's off to you, justin bobby!
